Restored 1908 Toledo Style 9 candy scale Patent date is 1903 No. 54800 and US patent date on brass tag is July 28 , 03 Painted with automotive paint and all pinstripe and scroll work is painted and the Toledo letters are decals and the honest weight decal is a water slide. The 3 colors of paint are gold metallic stripes dark brown metallic and chocolate brown metallic. All pinstripe and decals are clear coated with poly urethane clear to protect the decals and paint. This scale was totally taken apart cleaned and primed in self etch primer then wet sanded before painting. This early model did not come with a bubble level and is why they were made for a short time. By the condition of them I figure it must of been repurposed to weighing nails or nuts and bolts when candy prices went high and where packaged separate. The scale will be double boxed and packed very well. It all can be done with a screwdriver.
