Up for sale is a very rare antique 18th century brass whale burning oil lamp. It’s made of thick brass with intricate detailing throughout and has acquired a lovely patina from age. It is a very obscure design with a pivoting sphere dual burner design. The font pivots up and down on the teeth underneath and operated by turning the handle on the side. It has two chained tools on each side consisting of a brass pail and flat burner pick. The piece has a wonderful circular base and circular handle at the top. It measures 14 3/4 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide. The piece displays wonderfully and overall in nice condition. It has two very early leaded repairs at the shaft and the top arch. It is also missing the small lock pin for the pivoting mechanism but it does tightly stay in place. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law. Please make sure to look at all pictures very closely before purchasing, as most pieces in my shop are non refundable. Most items are antique or vintage and could have usual ware from age.
