Very Rare Antique Very Fine Ewer 14th Century
Very Rare Antique Very Fine Ewer Made Of Brass, Tin And Copper. The Origin of the Ewer is attributed to the Bukharian Culture from Uzbekistan and it is Marked with the Maker’s Name and the Date in old Saka Script for when it was Made. Unfortunatly the Maker’s Name is Hidden Behind the Connected Snake Shape on the Lid and all which remains is the Date In Saka Numerals as 14th Century. ONLY LESS THAN A DOZEN OF THESE TYPE OF EWERS CAN BE FOUND IN THE ONLINE RECORDS – WHICH MAKES THIS AS A VERY RARE OBJECT. Very good overall condition other than a tip of the bottom handle missing, a ding at the lid and an old, barely visible repair to the base of the pointy part connected at the top. Notice that the area where the ding is hollowed and has holes – shouldn’t be a difficult task for a good restorer to correct that.. Size is approx 21 cm tall, 20 cm Wide. Weight is approx 640 grams. Read Carefully The Terms Of The Listing And Ask. All Your Questions Prior To Purchasing To Prevent Any Possible Misunderstandings.
