Mahogany veneers with brass inlaid strips. Features a raised pierced gallery top with inset marble over 3 locking upper drawers over a cylinder roll opening to a pull out red velvet writing surface. Below a fitted interior writing tray over 3 drawers. Lower section consists of a large center drawer standing on fluted brass filled tapered legs ending in bronze or brass feet. Desk does show signs of age and use with small losses of veneers a few small brass and trim peices and small dings and specks from age and use. Marble surface has small crack and missing piece. Over in good shape for a peice of this age. Measurements: 40″ high to X 32″ wide X 20 deep. Desk height is 28″ and knee height is 23″.
