This clock is a rare brass & pink sevres porcelain panel 8 day gong strike and repeater carriage clock, it has a exceptional look to it with it all being in great condition with only minimal age wear but would polish up like new. The case has a superb corniche design. And is constructed from a good quality brass with superb proportions, to the top their is a oval bevelled glass panel through which the original lever platform escapement can be seen working, the repeat button sits in front of the bevelled glass. The front has a bevelled glass section to front all are in excellent condition, the sides and the back door has hand painted pink sevres porcelain panels with a brass carrying handle to the top. The case is undamaged. The brass does have minimal age wear. To it but would polish up like new. All glass and porcelain panels are perfect. It has a stunning pink sevres porcelain dial with hand painted and hand gilt decorations, the dial has roman numerals and original hands, to the centre of the main dial there is a hand painted flower garland with stunning hand gilt decorations decorating the whole of it. Dial is in excellent condition undamaged. The clock has a high quality 8 day gong striking repeating movement with an original lever platform escapement, the movement is in full working order keeping good time and striking on the half and on the hour counting the hours and repeats the last chime when the button to top is pressed. The movement is in perfect working order as can be seen in the video above with a superb action to the original platform escapement. 6.25 inches high (with handle raised) x 3.75 inches wide x 3.25 Inches deep.
