LGB 20520 Like New/New Pinzga Schenke Austrian Passenger set. The traction tire on the engine looks new, there is a tiny bit of marks on the track contacts (see pictures), perhaps to test the engine. The track and passenger cars appear unused. This is a classic, rare, one out of six hundred, G gauge vintage train set. These were only distributed in Europe. There is a beautiful blue “bar” car as well as the passenger car. Both have very crisp graphics. The unusual Green and Black engine 2010PB is uniquely marked “Pinzergauer Bahn”. The passenger cars and engine are all unique to this limited number (600) train set. These remarkable trains are durable, easy to get on the tracks (which are brass for indoor and outdoor use), reliable, and easy to play with. High quality West German manufacture (not China). The doors on the passenger car and bar car open and latch closed using the door handles on both ends of the cars. The roof is removable to expose the seats inside the car. The engine has both forward and reverse lights. The color scheme is unique to this set. There is a socket on the rear of the engine to accommodate lighting the cars or adding sound. Included with circle of 12 curved tracks. This is a well made and solidly constructed set. Please advise me if you don’t want the track included, otherwise I will assume you want it all. This train is packaged in a traditional red window box and is one of the rarer LGB sets in my collection. Finding a new/like new one is particularly unusual. There have been maybe three in used condition in the last half dozen years. I collected a number of sets, so check out my other listings. I can’t fix that, but these trains are worth it. There were no US transformers included with these sets for two reasons: They were for exclusive European distribution and LGB did not make US transformers until 1985-6.
