Up for sale is a VERY RARE Antique Economy Gas Lamp Co. Very different piece, comes with a twisted Bronze/Brass Cylinder where the Fire Proof Glass Tube/Shade would sit, 8 1/4 tall. The whole lamp measures approx. 40″ tall x 13 1/2″ wide. DESCRIPTION ON HOW IT WORKS: It looks like you fill the upper container with gas. The gas moves down the tubes, there is a knob regulator that adjust the amount to burn. Lights at the bottom where you produce the flame, and the colar helps to keep the glass in place at the top. Hanging shield helps to disperse the light and adds safety. This is my guess! CONDITION: There is rust on all the metal. The top container is either brass or copper, no magnet will stick. The lamp needs a deep cleaning. The glass is in great condition, no chips or breaks. This is great for any vintage lamp collector.
