This very large Chinese metal cloisonné bowl is an impressive decor piece in beautiful colors, adorned with an intricate multicolored floral design on both interior and exterior surfaces. Patterns include birds, butterflies, and florals such as scrolling lotus and chrysanthemums. There’s border pattern along the gold gilt rim and foot. The handmade cloisonne process started with using thin metal filaments to form cells (cloisons) which are filled with enamel paste and fired.
