Offering an Extremely Rare 1960’s Bonnie Cashin Carry Coach RED (I believe Hunter Red) Kisslock Fold Over Adjustable Shoulder Bag with an Exerior Cloth-Lined Pocket. I’ve never seen another one of these leather purses in this style in my years of collecting and researching Bonnie Cashin items. Made in the New York City Factory, this is a super rare item and an opportunity for you to own and carry a piece of fashion history! This kisslock foldover bag with exterior cloth-lined pocket was made during the early years when Bonnie Cashin worked for Coach during the 1960’s. The interior cloth lining of the main compartment is completely attached and is designed with the ability to pull up and away from the leather of the bag. When you open the bag’s main compartment and pull up the cloth lining, you’ll find on one side the cloth lining, an area of slight color loss near the bottom of the lining and on another small area of color loss on the left side of the lining. On the other one side of the cloth lining, several pen point marks (perhaps red ink) and a small dark area in the cloth near the bottom. All issues with the cloth lining does not affect the bag’s exterior leather which is soft and buttery. (See photos #8 & 9 for more detail). The “B” brass-tone Kisslock closure is missing its original brass tone color in several areas (which is typically on a vintage bag of this type that is nearly 60 years old). The interior cloth lining on one side of the kisslock closure has slightly pulled away from the kisslock frame as compared to the other side of the bag where the cloth attaches to the kisslock. (See photo 2 for more detail). Not in perfect condition, but still a wonderful example of a very early Bonnie Cashin Coach and once-in-a-lifetime Unicorn find! The adjustable shoulder strap is extremely unique and versatile with grommets on both sides of the leather strap allowing you to carry the bag as a handheld bag or as a shoulder bag. This rare and unique adjustable shoulder strap was sparingly used on some of the very first Bonnie Cashin created bags; most notably the mailman or postman’s bag, the largest bag ever made by Coach and one of the most rare of the rarest Bonnie Cashin creations for Coach. Measures approximately 15″ Tall X 13″ Wide X 3/4 Deep. Shoulder Strap Drop: About 16 Can convert to a handheld strap also.
