Patriotic Civil War Token. Fuld 1/436b (brass) R-7 NGC MS-64 Very rare and likely underrated variety, tied for Finest Known in NGC, ex Donald Partrick. This token was distributed by New York City token maker Emil Sigel. This die combination is very rare when found in brass and the variety is likely underrated at R-7. This token is one of only two specimens appearing in the NGC Census and both tokens were certified with a grade of MS-64. Patriotic Civil War Token. Fuld 226/321b (brass) R-8 NGC MS-63 Misattributed as copper, though the grade without color designation is consistent with brass, ex Donald Partrick. This token was distributed by an unidentified token maker. The die combination was used to strike copper tokens which are scarce and brass tokens that are very rare. The obverse die was not paired with any other dies for token production. The reverse die was only used in combination with one other die to create a single R-9 variety. NGC identified this token as copper on the slab label which appears to be a typo based upon the appearance of the token and the assigned grade which does not include a color designation. Grades for copper tokens normally include a color designation. As noted on the slab label, this token is from the collection of Donald Partrick where it resided for approximately three decades.
