This listing is for an Antique 18th Century wood & brass Clock Movement, signed by the maker and dated 1740. It is also hallmarked on the front I believe- an S in a square with zig-zag jagged edges. It has detailed notes by following repairmen from the 18th century on, as well as many of their names. Some have slowly faded but could possibly be brought back with restoration. Possibly originally meant for a miniature grandfather clock or a wall cased clock, it is an excellent item for restoration and use. I believe the movement itself is complete, it just needs the pendulum, weights, hands, and face. The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. This EXTREMELY RARE early to mid 1700’s Opium Den lamp. A lamp like t. On a tray layout when opium possession was legal. We’re thinning out some of our collection and giving you the opportunity to acquire one of these very difficult to find opium layout collectibles. Be sure to look over our list of antiques to see it. The fascination of the daily occurrences in the Opium Dens of old China is harbored within this Authentic Antique Oil Lamp. Lamps such as this were used to illuminate the dim shadows of the Chinese Opium Dens, Gambling Houses and Bordellos, often times the only lighting in these establishments. DON’T MISS OUT! YOU JUST DON’T SEE THESE OFFERED VERY OFTEN. THESE ARE MUCH HARDER TO FIND THAN MOST PEOPLE REALIZE! This smaller lamp is. Early 1700’s to the mid 1700’s. This is an Authentic Bronze or Paktong opium lamp with the ORIGINAL Cut Crystal Glass Dome. The Beautiful Cut Crystal Glass Globe (see close-up photo) has no cracks or chips. A beautiful Patina has developed on the Brass Base over the many years of use adding to its charm. We realize that most collectors request the articles to remain unaltered so we have left this Opium Lamp in its Original Condition just as we found it, and kept it in this condition in our collection for many years. This size of this Opium Lamp is approx. 3 1/4″ tall by about 2 1/2″ square at the bottom of the brass base. We have images of this lamp held in an adult male’s hand as well as next to a cola can to help give you a better idea of the actual size. Its time to thin out the majority of our collection. HERE IS A BARBER/BLEEDING BOWL FROM THE 1700’S. SOLID BRASS SHEET CONSTRUCTION WITH APPLIED BASE. I ACQUIRED THIS IN ENGLAND SEVERAL YEARS AGO. IT IS IN THE CONDITION I ACQUIRED IT IN AND HAVE NOT CLEANED IT OR POLISHED THE BRASS. IT IS COVERED WITH NICE PATINA, WITH NO CRACKS TO THE BRASS OR ANY DENTS. IT HAS A SMALL BRASS CLIP UNDERNEATH THAT I ASSUME WAS USED FOR A HANDLE, TRAY OR SOMETHING. IT IS 12 1/4″ WIDE, 10″ DEEP AND 2 HIGH. NO MAKER MARK OR ANY OTHER MARKS. THE PICTURE OF THE MAN SHOWS ALL THE ASSORTED PLACES A SURGEON CAN DRAW BLOOD FROM. AS YOU CAN SEE THIS STYLE OF BLEEDING BOWL WOULD WORK VERY WELL FOR JUST ABOUT ALL THE SPOTS. Very Rare, MASSIVE 1700’s Church, Mansion, or Planation Antique Skeleton Key w/ MAKERS MARK. Very rare and massive, late 17th / early 18th-century brass or bronze skeleton key for a church, mansion, or plantation door, measuring 8 inches in length. The key has a maker’s mark with the monogram CJW accompanied with a star underneath the letter J. Based on its size the key is made to lock or unlock a door up to 4 inches thick.
