This compact purse would make heads turn in the world of vintage. Its truely appears to look like its new, i look at compacts all the time on e-bay but i have never seen this one before. Now i know you can, t know everything in this crazy world of antiques and vintage, so maybe you have seen this one before. I priced it on the condition and i think its pretty rare. It measures 5 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2 deep, i hope your having fun on e-bay and i thank-you for looking.

I can not find another like it. Judging by the logo on the buckle its approximately from the 1950s. There’s not markings on the back. Maybe its a proto type? You be there expert. I obtained these bookends from an estate. They are in vintage good condition. The male bookend has come loose of its rivet connection but is still connected and very useable. It just swivels a bit. I didn’t want to try to fix it for fear of further damage, see pic. This in no way detracts from its appearance or usefulness. Designer: Karl Hagenauer, Art Deco era Austrian designer. Viet Cong – Viet Minh – North Vietnam Army. Superb Condition, Excellent Piece. Viet Minh – 1940’s – 1950’s. Following the end of World War II, the Viet Minh, initially formed as a nationalist and communist resistance movement against Japanese occupation, shifted its focus toward opposing French colonial rule in Indochina. Led by Ho Chi Minh, the Viet Minh declared Vietnam’s independence in September 1945, but the return of French forces to reclaim their colony soon led to the outbreak of the First Indochina War. The conflict, which lasted from 1946 to 1954, saw the Viet Minh evolve from a guerrilla force into a more structured military organization, receiving increasing support from China and the Soviet Union as the war progressed. French forces, despite superior firepower and air support, struggled against the Viet Minh’s ability to wage protracted warfare, relying on hit-and-run tactics, ambushes, and their deep connection to the rural population. The conflict reached its climax in 1954 at Dien Bien Phu, where General Vo Nguyen Giap orchestrated a decisive victory against the French. With tens of thousands of troops, the Viet Minh surrounded and besieged the French garrison, eventually forcing its surrender after weeks of relentless bombardment and assaults. This defeat effectively ended French rule in Indochina, leading to the Geneva Accords, which divided Vietnam at the 17th parallel, with the North under Ho Chi Minh’s communist government and the South under the anti-communist regime of Ngo Dinh Diem. Following the partition, the Viet Minh in the North transitioned into the core of the North Vietnamese Army (NVA), formally established as the People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN). Meanwhile, in the South, remnants of the Viet Minh who had been ordered to stay behind formed the basis of an underground resistance movement against Diem’s government. With the increasing repression of communist sympathizers in the South, these forces gradually reorganized and, by 1960, emerged as the National Liberation Front (NLF), commonly known as the Viet Cong. The NLF, with backing from Hanoi, sought to overthrow the South Vietnamese government and reunify the country under communist rule, marking the beginning of the Second Indochina War, known internationally as the Vietnam War. The number of combatants in the First Indochina War varied, with French forces, including the French Foreign Legion and colonial troops from North Africa and Southeast Asia, numbering around 250,000 at their peak. The Viet Minh, despite being less well-equipped, mobilized an estimated 125,000 regular troops alongside a vast network of guerrilla fighters and militia forces. I have only seen a couple of these come up for sale in the past 10 years or so, and this one honestly is in the best condition of them all. This is a mid century Wadsworth brass cigarette case with the globe and compass design. Incredible detail that is in very good condition. Continuous hinge is complete and works as intended, as does the push-button opener. Hologram interior design is near pristine and the Wadsworth Made in USA is clear and complete. Very rare find that may never come your way again! I did not attempt to clean or polish this vintage item. Please see pics for further description and condition.

Very beautiful MCM 1950s tv lamp. Top part is copper. The round is drip glazed stoneware and is a planter, there are no chips or cracks what so ever. It works as you can see in the video. It takes regular size bulbs. The copper tube part is a little out of shape so not exactly round as u can see in picture but can be reshaped. Gorgeous piece with the dim red color.
