Selmer Paris Trumpet Rare! Radio Improved. Very Early Non-Balanced Action Beauty

Extremely rare Selmer Paris Radio Improved Grand Prix trumpet from the 1930s. Very few of these trumpets were made. Apparently Selmer made many more Radio Improved Saxophones. From what I can gather, Selmer made a handful of these beautiful trumpets before changing to the much more common Grand Prix style with the angular pinky hook. This one has the underslung third valve ring and original first valve thumb ring for extra tuning capability (also somewhat rare on horns of this era). This is a professional horn with a very nice sound. Slides and valves all work smoothly. No dents, no dings. Silver plate and could use a little polish, but a beautiful trumpet. Louis Armstrong used the balanced action version of this trumpet. Case is in functional condition. Comes with a Gold plated rim Vincent Bach NY Mouthpiece, a 7c mouthpiece, a Lyle mouthpiece and what I believe is a very rare Selmer MA B 3 asymmetrical rim mouthpiece. Also comes with a Humes & Berg straight mute, a Shastock Solotone mute and a Ray Robinson cup mute. This is a 3 DAY SALE. Here’s a TERRIFIC Selmer 24A Balanced Action trumpet. The Selmer Balanced horns are a breed apart. Made to be balanced at the trumpet player’s hands, one of these instruments was used by the great Louis Armstrong. This model features a. 459 bore and has a big sweet sound that cannot be found in any other trumpet. This one is in very good condition. The lacquer shows some wear but looks quite nice.
