VERY RARE DARLOT BRASS LENS BARREL. Lens is without glass. Had an optical block. Nevetherless it can be used in expiremental pinhole photography. Looks vintage and great. Diameter = 57 mm. Height = 63 mm. ONE GRAVING SAYS DARLOT PARIS ANASTIG. Kleine Optical Chicago Montreal New York. Also there is a graving of focal distance 115 mm. According to measurements it has an aperture of about F2.8-F3.5. And covers about 6×9 cm. VISUAL AND OPTICAL CONDITION IS EXCELLENT. Glass is nice without damages, may be little wipe marks. Rack and pinion mechanism works. Lens design assumes no aperture so you can shoot only wide open. The brass barrel is in good condition with nice patina. Lens is about 370 gr in weight (without mounting plate). Height = 10 cm. Front barrel diameter = 6 cm. Front and rear glass diameter = 3.5 cm. Rear diameter = 5 cm. Voigtlander Heliar No 7 16.5 Inch 420mm f/4.5 Large Format Barrel Lens READ V17. This Voigtlander Heliar No. 7 16.5 (420mm) f/4.5 large format barrel lens is legendary for its soft focus on very large format cameras. It comes with its mounting ring and mounting ring screws. The set screw is missing from its aperture adjustment ring (please see photos). The aperture adjustment works correctly if you place a metal rod in the hole (think Jeweler’s screwdriver) to replace the screw. If you want to frequently change the aperture, we recommend installing a proper screw of sufficient length. There is some scuffing. Scratching and some finish loss on the barrel’s exterior and there is a small scratch on the interior element of the rear element grouping. The scratch will have no effect on lens performance. There are also a few tiny fungus or haze like spots inside of the lens and a couple of tiny air bubbles in the glass – typical of quality glass. It comes with its original lens hood, but there is a small dent in the side. Again, no impact on use. See photos and the Description above.
