THIS IS A GREAT OLD TOKEN, AND A MERCHANT YOU RARELY SEE….. I believe this site today is likely a trading post “ghost town” abandoned…. There is only one merchant listed for the rare site of “Whitewater”…. And this is it. This is a very nice specimen. The historic site of “Whitewater” is believed a ghost town today, and the catalog shows site is located McKinley County…. But I can find zero reference to “Whitewater” in that region, but there is a Whitewater not far from Silver City…. Trade token is brass metal, octagonal, about 26mm in diameter, and it displays very nicely. Has very strong details. Gallery pictures should give you all the information you need. USED AT A 1907 SALOON WHICH IS AMAZINGLY STILL OPEN TODAY… BUT THIS TOKEN IS FROM BACK IN 1900’S ERA old “good for” style trade token which actually says ” GOOD FOR 12 1/2 CENTS IN TRADE ” at a business which was called ” PIONEER SALOON ” located in the historic mining camp unincorporated community / living ghost town of. I call Goodsprings a “living ghost town” today, because it has a small remnant population compared to mining days….. Amazingly the “Pioneer Saloon” is still open today! This token was used in the 1907 when the “PIONEER SALOON” originally opened… Like Pawn Stars and Expedition Unknown… Because it is still a gathering place for tourists to this historic town!!! A TOUGH ONE TO FIND. And use historic data on these and the original catalog on these old tokens…… Who needs that grief. The historic mining camp town of GOODSPRINGS is today considered an un-incorporated community or “living ghost town” today with remnant population of 200.. Located in western part of Clark County… Located southwest of Las Vegas, not far from California line and towns of Shoshone and Tecopa Cal. Trade token is brass metal, round, about 24mm in size, and it has strong details.
