Vintage Brass German Sad Iron – Mid 1800’s (Very Rare). These small irons were also referred to as “lace Irons” or “Slug Irons”. They were used on small delicate. Items such as lace – ribbons, etc. This is a primitive hand-made piece that would have had a fitted cast iron piece (called a “slug”) that would have been heated on a stove or fireplace and then inserted into the Iron through the covered opening. The heating “slug” is missing. Please feel free to ask questions.

In my view, the scissors remain sharp and cut exceptionally well, despite the usual wear and tear for being 80-90 years old! It surely reflects the proud tradition of German craftsmanship. This is how you can now look at this very rare and original pendulum patent from Alfred Uhlig. This clock is specifically for collectors. The movement was disassembled and cleaned again. The clock is 20 cm high and 45 cm wide with the pendulum. The clock is sent with DHL from Germany.

Very RARE Imperial German Unit Marked P. A. 3 Brass Hilt, D Guard Short Sword
LILLY 1907 Knights Templar Sword Named & Dated Gold Wash Blade. At offer is an extremely rare, Imperial German, Austrian or Bavarian 19th Century brass handled, D guard short sword that is clearly unit marked on the cross guard P. Which may be for a Police Unit. It is also marked on the throat of the scabbard P. This awesome piece has a 16 ½ blade is fairly bright with staining and is fullered on each side. The spine of the blade is marked D. Nohascheck Hofschwertfeger – Mainz and may have been issued by one of the Imperial states such as Bavaria or Wurttemberg. The one piece brass handle, D guard and cross guard have a beautiful old patina and a nice tight fit. Brass tipped leather scabbard is also fine condition with all tight stitching and tight throat and tip. Leather is soft and supple with a nice original finish, scabbard locks onto brass tab of grip. Beautiful early German short sword that may have been issued to artillery, police or engineers.
