This Clock is 100% Amazing. I cannot find another like this online. This Clock can be Hung on a wall or it has a kickstand in the back that works as well. If you use the kickstand it leans back like its sails are all up and it’s leaning hard like it’s really sailing. The product is a vintage brass like metal sailboat desk clock that has been hand-painted, making it a rare and unique decorative collectible. What is really cool is they made it so you can interchange just about any clock parts to run the hands. Main unit goes on the back and you twist the lock screw to it from the front side and now you have a brand new quartz or whatever you prefer on This Amazing Piece. This is the original one that was on it when we acquired it and it still holds the time perfectly and works like a charm. The sailboat design adds a nautical touch to any desk or mantle, and the heavy brass type metal construction gives it a sturdy and substantial feel. Items such as lace – ribbons, etc. This is a primitive hand-made piece that would have had a fitted cast iron piece (called a “slug”) that would have been heated on a stove or fireplace and then inserted into the Iron through the covered opening. The heating “slug” is missing. Please feel free to ask questions.
