Bass trumpets are hard to find, and this one is a collector’s item by a renowned maker from Markneukirchen, Germany. This Schuster bass trumpet, seen in the attached catalogue, is the C/Bb model. It comes with only the long Bb slide, although a repair tech could make the u-shape C slide. With the last award on the engraving in 1876, it’s estimated this was made in the 1880’s. In unrestored but playable condition. A capable repair tech can bring this rare gem back to its former glory. Mainly just dent work needed. See all the photos, and feel free to ask any questions!
