Up for sale we have a rare 30 Antique Stanley No. 96 Brass Bound Machinist Plumb and Level in Rosewood with Strapped Brass Edges, Tips and Brass Top Plate. This was the nailed on brass bindings used until 1902 before the Stratton patent expired and Stanley changed most of their bindings to the dovetailed. Stanley also used the Handy Hold on the sides of all their levels at this point. This is also when Stanley first introduced brass screws on their machinists levels as scientists began to discover the effects of corrosion from dissimilar metals. The brass screws would not show up on standard production levels until during the 1920’s. These Stanley 30 No. The level is 30″ L x 1″5/16″ W x 3-1/8″ Tall. Please see pictures and ask any questions. This is Vintage Antique old VERY RARE Ottoman Empire Era Turkish Handmade. Brass Plumb Bob, dates circa 19th century. This type of plumb bobs were made and used during the Ottoman. The plumb bobs were used for Masonry and Carpentry. This masterfully crafted brass plumb bob is in very good authentically. Condition and it is very well preserved for its age with its original patina. This antique brass plumb bob is on more than 150 years! Very interesting and rare form.
