Up for sale is a unique maritime collectable. This is a solid brass ashtray that came out of New Bedford, MA. Made from heavy solid brass. There are 5 cigar/cigarette spot holders each equipped with a mechanism designed to hold the cigar/cigarette in place when the boat is rocking and rolling in rough seas. Each of the 5 locks are adjustable and can be tightened by screwing the nob (See pics). This ashtray was designed for captain and crew to be used at sea and is a fantastic vintage maritime piece with lots of history and patina. Definitely a conversation piece for the poker table or man cave! I have not seen another one like it. 6.25 diameter & weighs about 4lbs.
