Antique Mays Hook Swivel Hook Brass Bronze Nautical Fishing Tool Pat 2043277. Product: Lot of (4) Vintage Mays Lock Swivel Hooks. Material: Heavy Solid Brass / Bronze. Markings: Stamped “MAYS LOCK” and “PAT 2043277″. Up for sale is a rare set of vintage maritime hooks. These are authentic Mays Lock swivel hooks, famously used in the commercial fishing industry. They feature a unique safety-lock design and a heavy-duty swivel base with an eyelet. These items are in original, “found” vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina and some verdigris consistent with age and maritime use. They have not been polished, preserving their historical character. Please look at the photos carefully as they are a vital part of the description. These are heavy, solid pieces perfect for a nautical collection, industrial steampunk art, or functional use on a boat. These are heavy duty hooks approximately 4 to 5 pounds each. Recommendation from the appraiser was not to clean these hooks and leave the residual grease on them to ensure they will remain in the pest condition that they are. This is a very rare find. This is a VERY RARE Collectors Box Set from the 1999 U. Open in Pinehurt, NC. There is a brass medal bag tag medallion with leather strap (strap has some wear), a brass divot tool, and a hat pin, all matching pieces in a green box. Cannot find this specific set ANYWHERE. Made by Miller Golf.

Glad you stopped by and welcome to my auctions! Lets start with the real importance stuff first! So please keep in mind that these tools may and probably do have rust, pitting, wear or damage to them because of age & being used. If you plan to use these tools they may also need to be cleaned, sharpened or both. Gomph # 1 concord edger, I don’t see any cracks in either the rosewood handle or brass ferrule. These concord edgers are from my personal collection, I need to thin the herd! It has been not been cleaned and polished its as I got it. Please look at the pictures closely for condition of tools. The old tools I sell are in the usual condition for older tools, dings, nicks scratches, pits etc, and may need sharpening.
