This Willis is from Coach’s Leatherware era, and was created before Coach added the numbers under their Creed that denoted the month, year, and Coach Plant code (then 9927 – hence why you see so many Willis’ with the 9927). Coach started doing this (the month, year, and Coach Plant numbering) in 1994, and the Willis was only introduced in 1993, meaning this is a Willis from the very first year they were produced (and in a very hard-to-find color to boot). The bag only shows signs of cosmetic wear and has YEARS of life left. I just cleaned and conditioned it with Coach leather cleaner and conditioner before listing it, as well. The bag does NOT come with its original strap; however, it includes a replacement strap (non-adjustable) that measures 40.5 end-to-end. This is a very rare beautiful well taken care of Coach Satchel bag with very little wear. I believe it was manufactured in the late 1970s beautiful full grain Pebble leather. There is a little wear on the backside of the bag as shown but not noticeable since that side lays against your body and its at the very bottom.
