VERY RARE 18s CENTURY MUGHAL CAST BRASS REARING HORSE IN GREAT CONDITION
VER RARE Mughal Cast Brass Rearing Horse 18th Century India. This is a beautifully modeled antique cast brass horse in the rearing pose, with an open mouth and saddled. Of realistic form, the head is depicted in a slightly smaller size in proportion to the body and is part of a group of similar equestrian figures. This type of Mughal cast brass horse originates from the Persian Abbasid Dynasty, and there is a 10th-century example in the State Hermitage Museum, its weight approximately over 7 bounds and measures approximately 10×8 in great condition.
