Very Rare Brass Compass Face signed E. Blunt Cornell, London – Circa 1823 – 1826. This piece measures approximately 7 1/2 in diameter. It is beautifully engraved. Edward Blunt was the son of Thomas Blunt who was famous scientific instrument maker. Edward Blunt took over the business in 1822, but he died in 1826 at the age of 28.
