This listing is for a very rare William & Mary style oak miniature chest on barley twist legs likely dating to the late 18th or early 19th centuries. It was found some years ago in Massachusetts. It measures about 12 inches tall, 11 inches wide (left to right) and 7 inches deep (front to back). It has hand-done dovetail construction of the drawers and the middle drawer still has its original lock (no key). It has its original brasses with tear-drop pulls. The chest weighs about 5 pounds. It is likely that this piece was made in England and sometime after made its way to New England. The photos best show a description of this wonderful little chest.
