WILSON HAWKSWORTH ELLISON & Co ANTIQUE Pocket Knife 1846 to 1870 VERY RARE
ANTIQUE WILSON HAWKSWORTH ELLISON & Co Oldest Pocket Knife I have ever held circa 1846 to 1870. The firm who created this knife were successors of Wilson, Hawksworth & Moss 1832 to 1846. Amazing condition for it’s age. Blade is darkened from 175 years of age. This knife is extremely old and rare. I first though the blade was shortened but in the couple other examples I have found on this knife they look the same so i think the blade is 100% correct. The brass scales say “American Knife”. Blade doesn’t sit all the way down into the liner but again, that appears to be correct for the two other examples i have found. Is it possible they built this knife for the former colonies and coined it the “American Knife”? I don’t know but if only I could hear the stories this knife could tell! This would be an excellent pocket knife to add to your collection! Note: Case display stand not included in this action. I use it to take pictures. Please examine photos for condition and quality. PLEASE Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
