40s RUDY MUCK Bb TUBA mthp Eb shank GOLD RIM/CUP….. Boy there can’t be many of these floating around….. Although it is not marked i believe it to be a 1940s Rudy Muck tuba mouthpiece….. I can’t imagine why someone would make a throw in piece that was identical to the Mucks…….. There are no tuba pieces or anything other than basic trumpet cornet and trombone pieces in the 40s catalogs….. Until the 50s when they have a complete line including some marching pieces… The wide rim is pretty much same width as a Bach W although it’s flatter…. And the cup is similar to the trombone pieces where they’re shape something like a parrot beak… A rounded slight V cup…. I’ve included a profile of the muck on the left and bach 24A on the right… This has an Eb or bass trombone shank size…. Piece is in excellent shape! _gsrx_vers_334 GS 5.4.3 (334).
