Order of the Garter Bit. The iron on the bit on the shanks were overlaid with bronze or brass. You can tell that it is very old. I did not see any writing on this. This could be Civil War Era. This Bit is 6″ tall and the mouth is 5.25 ” wide and the bit has NOT been messed with in any way.
