For sale is this very rare vinaigrette possibly for a chatelaine. In a patterned brass square shape and decorated to the front with a finely carved bovine bone rose. The top opens to reveal a round mirror which is cracked. The inside sifter has a pretty patterned lid with some original smelling salts inside which has hardened. Remove the old salts and then the sifter closes. Something is missing from the back of the vinaigrette but I do not know what. Probably the base of the other opening compartment. Perhaps someone out there can enlighten me. Please study pictures as they form part of the listing. Measures approx 4 cm x 4 cm. Height 1.5 cm. Thank you for looking.
