This is a 1907 National Cash Register Lever Model 188 and is in beautiful physical condition. The wood base is beautiful, the top sign is original and the drawer is original to the register also. The production tag under drawer matches the serial number. Up until recently, this register was working fine until my friend’s 5 year old granddaughter touched something and now he cannot get the handle to turn. My research shows there were very few of these registers produced and even fewer are known to be in existence as of now. This is truly a conversation starter and one of the nicest NCR Registers I have ever seen. Sure to highlight any room you decide to display it in.
