SIGMA TAU. Mason Doorknocker Egyptian w Header Late 1800s Brass Heavy Very Rare
For a collector of fine antiques and brass items this is truly something to behold! This seems to have been a doorknocker or a logo that was adhered outside to a wall at some point in its lifetime! It features an Egyptian god head and various free mason symbols. It is also signed SIGMA TAU. Upon further research SIGMA TAU is a fraternity organization located in Missouri. Unknown if this is where it came from or if it is just coincidental just thought I might include this bit of information. It is made of heavy duty brass and shows no major signs of aging just dirt. HOWEVER upon inspection I noticed that one of the pins located on the back of the SIGMA TAU sign is missing and needs to be replaced in order to adhere to a wall. There is also a small indentation near this area as well unsure if this was intended or not. You get the complete set which includes the Top piece, middle piece, and bottom piece. The piece measured at the following Bottom piece is 5″ long and 2″ high, Middle piece is 5″ long and 7″ high, and the top header piece is also 5″ long and 2″ high.
