Up for your consideration is a very fine of antique Emile Galle porcelain and brass candle holders, c. These are very rare and early examples of Art Nouveau and Galle’s works. Each one has 4 hand-painted designs: a butterfly, a set of leaves, the letter “E” and the letter “G”. They measure 11.5″ tall and 4″ in diameter at the base. The underside is incised “FR, ” likely for France. Overall, the candle holders are in very good condition. One base has some bending where the base meets the neck, and on the upper cup. Also, some of the brass on the underside has pupped back from its edge. This doesn’t show when the candle holder is resting on the table. Overall, they present very well.
