This is a pair of rare cathedral alter candle holders for pillar style candles- pre owned with slight scuffs and scratches in the brass. There are beautiful and intricate carved birds in the brass that are a bit worn in a few spots consistent with age of 100+ years old. They were likely painted at one time but all that is left of the paint is in the area of the carved birds and much of the paint is worn off. These are solid brass and the interior show signs of oxidation/patina.
