This is an extremely rare survivor that will appeal to the advanced collector. This is an original war time sling made by BHG LTD and dated 1941. It is made from rubber covered with canvas and has brass ends. Following the battle of Dunkirk in 1940 the British Army was preparing for invasion and war time expedients to equip the troops and Home Guard required innovation, this sling is a perfect example of such innovation.
