Civil War Store Card for Albert Sherman’s Johnson House Hotel in Ogdensburg, New York. Fuld NY665B-1b (brass) R-8 Very Nice UNC Very rare variety from a scarce two-merchant town. Sherman obtained store card tokens from Cincinnati token maker John Stanton. A single obverse die was combined with four stock reverse dies for token production. This and most varieties for this merchant are extremely rare. According to the NGC Census and the PCGS Population Report, there are only three certified examples of this variety.
