Very Rare and Fine John Heald!! I believe one is original. The horn was made in 1917 app. Healds were some of the finest trumpets ever made and are very rare! Especially in this condition… If you research this horn you quickly find it influenced Martin and Bach. This horn has very few blemishes. Compression is good for an instrument of the age. The main tuning slide is sruck. With little effort it can be freed. It plays in tune and is sweeeet! All otherslides move and the valve’s are nice, very playable. The finish like is new! The etching is crisp and the Horn does have a Wonderful Dark, lyrical Committee sound. All Martin (Depending on MP) but feather light and build quality is marvelous!
